Sympathizers Call on Obi Cubana, E- Money, Jowi Zaza, Others to Assist Victims of Dei-Dei Market Crisis

Sympathizers Call on Obi Cubana, E- Money, Jowi Zaza, Others to Assist Victims of Dei-Dei Market Crisis

Following the crisis between traders and motorcycle riders at Dei Dei market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which led to loss of lives and destruction of properties, the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has pledged to pressure the government to compensate traders whose products were affected.

ADC’s National Chairman, Raph Nwosu, made the promise when he embarked on an assessment tour at Dei Dei Market. He promised that the party would assist in creating the required media awareness and providing legal services if need be to ensure that affected traders get justice. In what appeared to be a promise made and a promise kept, the ADC National Chairman, Chief. Ralph Nwosu, over the weekend sponsored a Media Press update situation report to the General Public. Tagged: We must all join hands to help the Victims of the crisis between traders and motorcycle riders at Dei Dei market in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), which led to loss of lives and destruction of properties worth N1.5B.

The Executive Chairman Dei-Dei International Timber Traders Association Abuja (DITTA), Chibuzor Ekesiy, from onset lamented that goods worth over N1.5 billion were destroyed during the clash.

He said since the FCT Minister, Mohammed Bello, set up a committee nothing has been heard even though he gave the committee members an expiring date.

“On the day we met with the minister, he set up a committee and since that time we have not heard anything from them even though he gave them an expiring date.

“No development yet regarding the erection of a police post even though the minister, on that day, emphatically told the police commissioner to see what he could do about it.

“The cost of the damage is estimated to about N1.5 billion.” he added. They should organize fund raising program for the Victims of the Dei-Dei International Building Material Market crisis. They can do it for them and for the sake of humanity. It is a Noble appeal. They should reach out to the leadership of the Dei-Dei International Building Material Market (Both old and new) and work with them to ensure Victims of the unfortunate incident are adequately compensated.” Comrade. Ikem Anthony Nwanneka, Stated. In his reaction. A sympathizer, Engr. Chidiebere Amorha, supported the call for individuals to reach out to the leadership of the affected Market and see how to help them. “Those people that were affected are human beings.They are emotionally down and highly trumatized. They need the help of the Government and that of individuals to start all over again. We can not continue to wait for the government to come and compensate them. Individuals can help too. I totally support the call for Obi Cubana, E-money, Jowi Zaza, Celebrity Barman and others to intervene. The market is there. They should visit and not just identify with the affected traders, but should work with the leadership of the Market (Both old and new) to ensure that Justice is done according with respect to compensation of the affected traders” Engr. Chidiebere Amorha, stated.
