Abatete indigenes have risen to protect their land spiritually from criminals desecrating the land. Abatete has recently experienced all sorts of criminality in the town which resulted in massive emigration of people causing severe economic hardship in the community.

To this end, all the native priests in Abatete in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State came together and invoke the spirit of their Land against kidnappings,land grabbing and killings of their people.
