The Federal High Court 1, Awka presided over by Justice H. A. Nganjiwa has disqualified the Labour Party Senatorial Candidate for Anambra Central, Victor Umeh, ANAMBRA PEOPLE reports.

Victor Umeh, a former National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance is one of the notable chieftains of the Labour Party in the South East.

In a three-hour judgment, Nganjiwa disqualified Chief Victor Umeh on the grounds of non-compliance with the provisions of the Electoral Act as it concerns his membership status of the party primary election.

The Federal High Court sitting in Awka also said Chief Victor Umeh’s name was not in the membership register of the Labour Party as at the date of the primary election of the party.
