Investment Inflows Expected AS Anambra State Govt Holds 2023 Expo Pre-Launch Press Briefing

Anambra is expected to witness an important launch event that will re-invent its businesses, factories, and industrialization drive, the state will also witness the influx of investors in the upcoming 2023 Made in Anambra PAN African Export Development Expo.

The-government is working to finalize plans for routes to export markets into 54 African countries, corporate banking partnerships to give access to growth funds for businesses, partnerships with development financiers that are interested in providing capital for production expansion, training for export market development, and much more.

Speaking to the stakeholders and members of the media in Awka, during the vital press briefing session, the State Commissioner of Industry, Mr. Christian Udechukwu said that the scheduled launch of Made in Anambra for Export 2023, Anambra Expo 2023, event could bring together more than 200 industries, investment banks, commercial banks, professional services firms, insurers, shippers, and hundreds of business visitors to the state.

The Made in Anambra Export policy initiative will give Anambra state a share of the African continental market, which is valued at $3.4 trillion.

Anambra industries will earn foreign exchange, deepen regional trade, strengthen pan – African commerce, and accelerate business integration in the Africa Free Trade Area of 1.2 billion people. Anambra is looking to grow its industries by focusing to serve 54 African countries. By pursuing this deliberate industrial policy process, Governor Chukwuma Soludo, expects that leading African industrial brands will originate and rise from Anambra state, and consequently, these new emergent African champions may become listed on the Johannesburg, Kenyan, Rwandan and Nigerian Stock Exchanges.

The uniquely Made in Anambra for Export policy is expected to be unveiled to the world by Mr. Governor, Chukwuma Soludo on the 3rd – 4th October 2023.

The Made in Anambra Export (Anambra Expo, 2023) will also afford exhibitors and all industry stakeholders an opportunity to gain more information on the highly rewarding benefits of investing in Anambra.

It is intended that Made in Anambra Export Campaign 2023 will create jobs for youths, expand productivity by industries, attract new industries, and give all Africans access to high-quality products manufactured in Anambra. Whilst democratizing access to wealth creation and enabling shared prosperity in Anambra state, Made in Anambra will transform the state economy, especially with Industrial Parks, Industrial Clusters, Free Trade Zones, Export Processing Zones, Pharmaceutical Emporium and more being developed for take off.

Some of the stakeholders at the pre – launch event include the State Commissioner for Information; Sir Paul Nwosu, the Chairperson of the Southeast Manufacturers Association of Nigeria -MAN; Lady Ada Chukwudozie (Adadioranma), President of Anambra Chambers of Commerce and National Vice President of NACCIMA, Pharmacist Uche Apakama, Presidents of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture.

CEOs of industry leaders, namely the Ibeto Group, Cutix Plc, Dozzy Group, and others were present, including representatives from leading banks and Anambra State Coordinators of, NAFDAC, SMEDAN, Nigerian Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (NASME), National Association of Small Scale Industrialists (NASSI), Nigeria Export Promotion Council.
