Ahead of the forthcoming Population and Housing Census codenamed Census 2023, the National Population Commission’s “Green Census Initiative”, got a boost as the North Central Regional Coordinator of Women in Renewable Energy Association (WIRE-A), Ms. Moji Makonjuola, MFR, and her team has thrown their weight behind the conduct of a technology-driven headcount in Nigeria.

WIRE-A’s leadership led by Ms. Moji Makonjuola, unveiled their support for the census project while on a courtesy call on the NPC Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, fnsa, in his office at the Commission’s Headquarters, Abuja

Ms. Moji Makonjuola assured the NPC boss that WIRE-A and its other affiliates across the country will team up and support the census project.

“Our visit is to collaborate with the Commission in greening the upcoming Population and Housing Census to make it climate responsive.

“We believe in your effort of Green Census Initiative, which is expected to capture climate-relevant quantitative information at household levels and provide primary data on the impacts of climate change on Nigerian households and vice-versa.
Responding, NPC Chairman, Hon. Nasir Isa Kwarra, fnsa, thanked his guests for finding time to visit as well as showing understanding about the workings of NPC as well as the conduct of a generally acceptable census for the country.
