Anonye Victory Emenike(male), a 500 Level student of Medicine and Surgery at the Jos University Teaching Hospital who emerged best overall student in the 2016 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination, UTME has raised concern about the failure ofJoint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB to recognise and acknowledge him at the time.
He said he will sincerely appreciate it if the necessary recognition and financial aid are accorded to him, the way it has been done for those who achieve similar feats in recent times.
Anonye Victory Emenike had an aggregate score of 359 to emerge the best overall student with the following scores in the subject he enrolled. Use of English 66: Physics 98: Biology 98 and Chemistry 97.
In that year, Anonye Victory Emenike was one of the two who had the aggregate score of 359. The other candidate with the same aggregate score was Akenbor Adesua Osarugue(female).
Together, both led the UTME top 10 candidates for the year 2016. But till date neither Anonye Victory Emenike nor Akenbor Adesua Osarugue have been accorded the necessary recognition by JAMB.
In his letter to Some news Platforms, Anonye Victory Emenike said he wrote as a result of the failure by “JAMB to recognise and acknowledge him at the time”
“My name is Victory Anonye, a 500 level student of medicine and surgery in Jos University Teaching Hospital. I was the highest JAMB scorer in the 2016 UTME Examination.
I am writing this letter to request you to publish my press through your esteemed media outlet about the failure to be recognized and acknowledged at the time. And I would sincerely appreciate it if necessary recognition and financial aids are accorded.
