Former Central Bank Governor and the incumbent Governor of Anambra State, Prof Charles Soludo has again refused to conduct Local Government Elections to choose council chairmen and ward councillors in the state, rather he had renominated the serving Local Government Caretaker committee members who were regarded as Transition Committees to continue overseeing the affairs of all the Local Government Areas in the state.
The governor sent the names of the serving transition members in the state to the State House of Assembly for confirmation. He, however, make changes to the Transitions chairmen of Ihiala and Awka North Local Government Areas of the state.

Names of the Transition Committee Chairmen and Councilors across the 21 local government areas in the state were, therefore confirmed by the State House of Assembly as sent to them by Governor Charles Soludo.

The two Transition Committee Chairmen who lost their comeback are Mr. Kingsley Obi of the Ihiala Local government area and his Awka North counterpart, Chief Emma Ucheze. Chief ThankGod Anagor replaces Mr. Emma Ucheze as the Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local government area, while Engineer Anayor Orjiakor replaces Mr. Kingsley Obi as the Transition Committee Chairman of Ihiala Local government area.

The re-appointed Local Government Transition Committee will oversee affairs of the 21 local government areas in Anambra State for the next three months when they may be reappointed to continue their stay in the office
