Following Mr Ifeatu Onejeme’s resignation as Anambra State commissioner of Finance, there are indications that other commissioners may follow suit due to the Governor’s high- handedness.
A source close to the government who did not want his name on print said that more commissioners and aides of the governor may likely resign their appointments given the way and manner Soludo treats them.
According to sources, the governor treats the commissioners and his aides as students and never allows them to make input during meetings.
“If Soludo is holding meetings with his commissioners and aides he does not allow them to air their opinions. He is the headmaster while others are pupils. He does not believe in the cross-fertilisation of ideas. He believes that he knows everything. Some of the commissioners and the aides who are principled may likely leave the government to face their businesses” he said.
The source said that the commissioner for finance resigned from the government because a third party interfered in the affairs of his ministry and he decided to leave the government to maintain his integrity.
Our Correspondent gathered that Prof. Charles Soludo during the weekly Exco meeting lectures the executives for as long as the meeting lasts.
He does not allow the executive members to contribute.
