Eric Umeofia, the company’s founder and president of Erisco Foods Ltd, has threatened to sue Chioma Egodi for writing a negative review of the company’s Nagito Tomato Mix on X.

On Thursday, Umeofia revealed this while participating on the Arise News Global Business Report program.

Immediately after posting a negative review of an Erisco product on social media, Egodi was detained by the police and taken to Abuja, a move that has drawn widespread criticism.

Babatunde Irukere, the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission’s (FCCPC) Director-General, revealed this on Monday.
