Innoson Boosts Annual Production Capacity To 60,000 Vehicles Following Upgrade To Standard Automation

Innoson Vehicles Manufacturing (IVM) has announced that its production capacity has increased to 60,000 vehicles per annum, up from 10,000, following the company’s upgrade to standard automation.

The Chairman and CEO, Chief Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma, CON, disclosed this during the company’s 13th anniversary celebration and the official presentation of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System and MANCAP Certificates by the Standard Organisation of Nigeria (SON) to the company.

Chief Chukwuma highlighted that the company’s vision since its inception in October, 2010 has been to provide reliable, durable, and affordable vehicles for Nigerians. He emphasized the company’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and customer satisfaction.

The IVM Chairman described ISO 9001: 2015 System Standard certification as a testament to their dedication to upholding international standards of quality and excellence in all aspects of their operations.

He further explained that the company has implemented semi-automation and standard automation, resulting in increased production capacity.

Furthermore, he averred that they have invested in robot painting equipment to reduce costs, improve productivity, and enhance product quality, leading to higher customer satisfaction.

Chief Chukwuma expressed gratitude to the company’s passionate and hardworking staff, highlighting their unwavering commitment to excellence as the driving force behind their success. He also thanked relevant stakeholders for their support and encouragement, assuring them of continuous improvement until IVM becomes one of the best automobile companies globally.

The Director General of SON, Dr. Ifeanyi Okeke, commended IVM on their achievement, stating that the company has joined the few ISO 9001:2015 certified indigenous vehicle manufacturing organizations in Nigeria.

Dr. Okeke who was represented by the SON’s Director, South East Region, Engr. Fred Akingbesote, highlighted the benefits of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard, including customer satisfaction and long-term revenue and profitability.

Dr. Okeke urged IVM to continue on the path of excellence and adopt innovative approaches to navigate through any disruptions in the market.

In his remark, the Head of Corporate Communications and Affairs, IVM Innoson Group, Cornel Osigwe expressed appreciation to support groups for their advocacy and criticisms, which have made the IVM brand stronger and better.

High lights of the event were the presentation of the ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System Standard certificate to Chief Chukwuma by the SON DG and the recognition of long-serving IVM staff through the presentation of long-service awards.
