NBS: Anambra Tops with 33.97bn as Southeast Generated N114.53bn in 2022

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has revealed that the five states of the southeast made a total sum of N114.53 billion naira
as Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) in 2022.

This report categorised IGR into five key areas: PAYE, Direct Assessment, Road Taxes, Other Taxes, and revenue from Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs).

According to the report, Anambra state led the pack with N33.97 billion in revenue.

Enugu came second with N28.69 billion, Abia followed with N20.11 billion, Imo with N19.34 billion, and Ebonyi with N12.43 billion.
