Anambra State has the least candidates for the aptitude tests with 343 applicants followed by Lagos – PSC

The Police Service Commission (PSC) on Thursday disclosed that it has shortlisted 171,956 applicants for recruitment into Police Constable job for the next stage of the exercise and they are to take part in the Computer-based tests.

According to the PSC on its website on Thursday, out of the 1,775 candidates who applied for the Police Constable job from Lagos State, only 504 among them were shortlisted for the next stage of the exercise which indicates that 1,271 candidates failed to make the next stage.

This makes Lagos the state with the second least number of successful candidates, only leading Anambra State that has 343 successful candidates while Ebonyi had 600 successful candidates.

This is a far cry from the number of successful candidates for the next stage from the Northern part of the country with Kaduna State having the overall highest number of candidates with 12,343 making it to the next stage, followed by Bauchi State with 10,911 while Benue and Katsina States had 10,532 and 10,457 candidates respectively.

The PSC wrote on its website: “A total of 171,956 applicants who were successful from the screening exercise are expected to take part in the Computer-based tests. Candidates for the aptitude tests are applicants for the General duty positions.

2Kaduna State will be presenting the highest number of candidates for the tests with12,343 followed by Bauchi with 10,911, Benue, 10,532 and Katsina,10,457.

“Anambra State has the least candidates for the aptitude tests with 343 applicants followed by Lagos, 504 and Ebonyi, 600. Successful candidates from the Computer-based tests will be required to appear for medical examinations before they proceed for training.”
