In addition to its successful Lagos-London route, Air Peace now provides connectivity for passengers from Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, and Port Harcourt to London.
Passengers can conveniently fly from the listed cities to Lagos and then transfer to flights to London via Air Peace, with their luggage delivered to Gatwick airport.
The airline announced through its X handle, “Embark on your London adventure from Abuja, Asaba, Benin, Enugu, Owerri, Warri, or Port Harcourt! Seamless connections via Lagos. Make your journey smooth and convenient.”
Nigerians are thrilled with this development and believe that Air Peace will have an advantage over other carriers if the service remains seamless.
Apostle Stephaine, with the X handle @Gloria_Destino, requested, “Please ensure the process is as seamless as possible. Ground staff should escort passengers from the domestic airport to the international terminal. Staff at the departing domestic airport should be aware that the passenger is en route to an international flight. Please tie up any loose ends.”
Another user with the X handle @Bilionaire_Bish described this development as positive and stated, “Airpeace listens. This is a game-changing move. If I don’t have to book another flight to Lagos or Abuja before flying out, then Air Peace can continue to have my money.”
Shortly after Air Peace launched its Lagos-London route, foreign carriers reduced fares on the same route by more than 50%.
British Airways (BA), Virgin Atlantic, Qatar Airways, Ethiopian Airlines, and others have continuously lowered their fares in response to the intense competition.
Air Peace set its economy class ticket price at N1.2 million and N4 million for business class, significantly reducing fares on the route.
Prior to Air Peace’s entry, BA and Virgin charged between N3 million and N3.5 million for a direct flight from London to Lagos. Other airlines charged an average of N2 million for a roundtrip ticket.
Currently, on the Lagos-London route, Egyptair offers an economy class ticket for ₦585,620; Air Peace for ₦816,130; British Airways for ₦981,848; Virgin Atlantic for ₦1.1 million; Royal Air Maroc for ₦569,422; RwandAir for ₦679,070; Ethiopian Airlines for ₦677,824; Turkish Airlines for ₦807,408; Air France for ₦1.1 million; and KLM for ₦1.1 million.
