The entire student body of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, is set to honor Prof. Charles Esimone FAS, Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka.
The students are gearing up to host a grand Valedictory Service/lecture series in honor of their vice-chancellor.
The event is scheduled for Friday, 24th, and Saturday, 25th May 2024 at the University.
As the glorious days and fulfilled administration of Prof C.O Esimone are gradually winding down, it’s imperative to note that the outgoing Vice-Chancellor has indeed left an indelible mark in the sands of time with his unprecedented achievements as the helmsman of this great institution.
Prof C.O Esimone’s unrivaled milestone in the area of infrastructure can’t be overemphasized. He met an institution with a series of ongoing and abandoned projects, and within a short time frame, he commissioned these buildings for public use due to his pragmatic and unrelenting approach to issues.
His cordial and professional relationship with staff, academics, and non-teaching staff of the institution created a perfect and conducive learning environment in the school where discipline, self-reliance, and excellence remain the watchwords.
Under the visionary watch of the Vice-Chancellor, UNIZIK attained lofty heights among its contemporaries as the 4th best citadel of learning in Nigeria and West Africa, producing sound graduates with high intellectual capacity in all walks of life.
The event organized by the Students Affairs department/student Union government aims to celebrate the Vice Chancellor’s accomplishments and express gratitude for his unwavering commitment to the welfare of students. The event will bring together dignitaries, staff, and students to pay tribute to this exceptional individual.
The program scheduled for Friday, 24th May and Saturday, 25th May 2024, at the university will feature an inter- Denominational service, novelty match, lecture series, dinner, and an award night.
