National chairman of All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Sly Ezeokenwa on Friday said the party’s constructive criticisms had offered strong voice for the citizens and advocated for positive change in crucial sectors of the nation.
He said the party’s opposition role had also held the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) accountable.
Speaking at a news conference in Awka to mark his one year anniversary as party’s helmsman, Ezeokenwa further said APGA had continued to advocate for positive change in critical areas as security, economy, inclusive governance and electoral reforms.
He said, “Under my leadership, APGA has led the charge as a constructive opposition party, advocating for positive change in crucial areas such as security, the economy, inclusive governance and electoral reforms.
“APGA has been a beacon of hope, offering a compelling vision for a better Nigeria and a fierce determination to see it realized.
“Our constructive opposition stance has not only held the ruling party APC accountable but has also inspired citizens across the country to demand a more prosperous, secure and equitable future for all.”
While enumerating other achievements of his administration, including digitisation of party membership which would commence on June 1, APGA boss announced launching of a state-of-the-art mobile app for digital registration and introducing digital membership cards.
“Under my inclusive leadership, APGA has become the first political party in Nigeria to implement the complete digitization of its membership.
“We will establish APGA foundation in June to empower individuals through education, skill acquisition, visits to Internally Displaced People’s camps, healthcare support and medical outreach.
“Another project is the APGA Digital Hub to be commissioned in June too, basically to equips our youth for success in the digital age and promote creativity, entrepreneurial spirit and innovation,” he said.
Appreciating the party’s national leader, and Anambra State governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo for his support, visionary leadership and guidance, Ezeokenwa said such gestures had shaped the party into formidable force in the nation’s polity.
He also hailed the governor for his commitment towards conduct of Local Government election in the state, saying the move had been in line with the party’s vision.
