-Setting The Roadmap For A Greater APGA…
It was on the 31st day of May at the National Convention of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA held at the International Convention Centre, Awka that Barr Sly Ezeokenwa emerged as the substantive elected National Chairman of APGA having succeeded the leadership of the immediate past National Chairman, OzoNkpu Victor Ike Oye.
The emergence of Sly Ezeokenwa as the National Chairman came with cheers and wide jubilations as party faithful were excited with the outcome of the exercise that produced Sly Ezeokenwa taking into consideration his wealth of experience in party management and his passion for excellence and positive results. Having served as the National Legal Adviser of the party, Ezeokenwa was armed with the requisite knowledge of party administration.
Ezeokenwa on assuming office as the National Chairman of APGA launched the operation Drive APGA, a mantra of change and a platform that will serve as a vehicle to drive the outstanding policies and ideas to augment and consolidate the progress and the achievements of the past administration. Not only that, Ezeokenwa maintained a cordial working relationship with both the members of the National Working Committee and National Executive Committee of the party while strongly cooperating with the National Leader of the party, Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State who has continued to uphold the ideologies of the party in Anambra by bringing solutions to the myriads of problems bedevilling the state, especially in the areas of infrastructure and job creation.
The National Chairman of our great party who’s not only youthful but useful has continued to show capacity in so many ways. He has shown dexterity and sincerity of purpose backed up by a mission and vision to make our party the number one progressive party in Africa. He has demonstrated truly that he can take our party to greater heights by going all out to spread the tentacles and reach of our party. Truly, he has succeeded in bringing APGA to par with the other top political parties in Nigeria.
In the areas of human capacity building and nurturing of the younger ones, Ezeokenwa has launched and set up the APGA Next Generation, a youthful arm of the party which aims at catching them young for APGA and instilling the ideals and ethos the party stands for. He has embarked on numerous political crusades that are aimed at getting new converts for APGA.
It is pertinent to note that Barr Ezeokenwa’s leadership has set up a strong and formidable platform in APGA christened “APGA FOUNDATION”. The APGA FOUNDATION aims to address the plethora of problems being faced by the members of the party as he has devised possible ways of catering for the welfare and seeing to the well-being of party members as enshrined in the party manifesto. He has also put all the necessary logistics in place to Launch an ICT Tech hub where our teeming youths can be trained in the areas of ICT and other tech-related courses putting into cognizance the changing world where ICT is the main deal. The capacity and purpose-driven leadership of Barr Sly Ezeokenwa has set up a Think-Tank Team that will always draw new policies and agendas that will be within the ideals and ethos of the party as well as checkmate the activities of his administration and make necessary criticisms to pose checks and balances. He has truly etched out a niche as a leader who came with a vision fully prepared to change the narratives and bring out much positive change to party administration.
He’s a strong advocate for pressure and support groups that fall within the ambit of the party constitution with the sole aim of promoting the tenets of the political party and the visions of their candidates.
Sly Ezeokenwa has featured prominently on National TV like Channels, Arise TV, and AIT to mention but a few preaching the sound political ideals of APGA to all who care to know, rolling out points why APGA stands out as the number one progressive party in Nigeria.
He has succeeded in setting a road map for the birthing of a true National party that will be people-driven and accommodate the youths in the leadership circle. He has vowed to maintain a clean slate but running an open-door policy style whereby he will be open to positive criticism that will help him achieve his operation drive APGA vision.
