On 20th June, 2024, following the symposium organized by the Faculty of Social Sciences, several distinguished guests paid a courtesy visit to the Ag. Vice Chancellor. These guests included the renowned and viral Prophet Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere (Odumeje), the traditional ruler of Umuoba Anam- HRM Igwe G. O. Mr. Okelue emphasized that inviting Prophet Odumeje was a deliberate and strategic decision.

Expressing his gratitude, Prophet Odumeje reminisced about his previous visit to the institution and noted the significant changes he observed recently. He attributed these improvements to the leadership of Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha, fnipr, aligning himself with many Nigerians who celebrate her accomplishments. Odumeje praised the decision to appoint a woman as Vice Chancellor, citing that women are uniquely suited to nurture and lead effectively, as evidenced by Prof. Omenugha’s remarkable progress.

Welcoming the guests, Ag. Vice Chancellor Prof. Kate Azuka Omenugha urged Prophet Odumeje to speak positively about the university, contrasting it with his earlier remarks made to his congregation. She called for collective effort to enhance the university’s reputation, emphasizing pride in the state university. Prof. Omenugha shared her vision for the university, urging everyone to contribute to achieving a university that aligns with its core values of Values, Viability, and Visibility.
