One of the chieftains of the Labour Party, Valentine Ozigbo has tackled Governor Charles Soludo for his style of governance in Anambra state.

In a post that Valentine Ozigbo made on his official X handle on Sunday, he said when Chinua Achebe wrote a book and titled it, “No longer at Ease”, he wouldn’t have known that it would come to play in his state years later.

Valentine Ozigbo said things are not longer at ease considering the rate of kidnappings and abductions in Anambra state. He said the security architecture in the state has collapsed. Ozigbo said on Saturday, the state recorded ten separate abductions which is very bad. He said despite everything happening in the state, the executive led by Soludo is busy harassing market women. He said the state is broken and it needs serious mending.

Here is what he wrote on his official X handle;

“I’m sure when Chinua Achebe wrote his book, “No longer at ease,” he would not have known such would come to play out in his own state years later. To therefore say the security architecture in Anambra has collapsed is to state the very obvious. Yesterday’s ten separate abductions across the state speak volumes of the sorry state of security in Anambra. They include two each in Ifite Awka and Agulu, Adazi, Oraukwu Road; one in Nimo, two along Ichida-Neni-Igboukwu axis; one along Afor Nkpor Road and an attempted kidnap case around E dey Work, Nnewi Road; plus others that may be heard today”.
