By Ndife David, Awka.

A prominent Orumba South APGA Stalwart, Prince Neville Uchendu has extolled the Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR for his visionary leadership and unflinching commitment to sustainable development following the signing of the Anambra Local Government Administration Law of 2024.

He made this remarks over the weekend during a courtesy visit at the Government House in Awka.

Speaking during the visit, Prince Uchendu who has served as the Transition Committee Chairman of Orumba South local government area for two years stated that Soludo’s exemplary leadership serves as a beacon of hope for Anambra, noting his administration unwavering commitment to the sustainability of local governance for the overall wellbeing of the people.

He opined that Governor Soludo’s proactive approach in advocating for collaboration between the state and local governments is both timely and necessary to avert chaos and mismanagement of public funds that could ensue on full implementation of absolute local government autonomy.

He lauded the Governor’s emphasis on the critical role of state oversight in safeguarding public trust and ensuring that local governments operate within a legal framework that reinforces the constitutional mandate.

“Soludo’s insistence on the need for state oversight of local governance demonstrates his deep understanding of the complexities involved in governing multiple tiers of government as many local administrations lack the financial infrastructure to sustain themselves independently, he said!”

Prince Uchendu commended Soludo for significantly repositioning Anambra as a model of effective governance in the country through his numerous, remarkable life transforming projects and programs in the state.

He remarked that the leadership of Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo CFR has effectively touched lives across the entire 21 local government area in the state from health and education to infrastructure and empowerment, noting his giant strides as testament to his consistent and impactful achievements.

Prince Uchendu went further to affirm that Soludo purpose driven leadership is succeeding in humanizing politics, hence leaving a lasting legacy of progress. He urge Ndi Anambra to join Soludo on the disruptive change and positive transformation journey for a better future.
