All businesses, shops and plazas within the confines of Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA) complex in Lagos International Trade Fair complex, will by mid-day today, November 7, 2024 shut down in honour of their departed former member and Grand-Patron, Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah.

A statement signed by ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe and Secretary, Hon. Juventus Uche Okpala-Okaka and made available to journalists said “The leadership of ASPMDA, BOT, founding fathers cordially invites members and well-wishers to Service of Songs and Day of Tribute in honour of late Senator Dr. Patrick Ifeanyi Ubah at Canary World Entertainment Centre, 23 Road, Festac Town starting from mid-day, today, November 7, 2024.

The statement further revealed that “As a clear mark of honour for our late grand-patron, trading at the complex will be for half-day, meaning that from 12 noon, all shops shall be shut down and any defaulter shall pay a fine (amount withheld).

Recall that the federal lawmaker from Anambra State who died some weeks ago in London, has been a strong pillar in issues relating to the progress of ASPMDA as he has been in the fore-front of the progress of the market.

He has over the years been driving the course of the market by making several donation and provision of infrastructures in the complex including the donation of giant firefighting truck, lighting up the complex with solar streetlights and so much more.
