The lack of access road to the University has been one of the major problems of the institution. But the Distinguished Senator Tony Nwoye has come to their rescue.

Touched by the plight of the university, Senator Nwoye started massive road project which has changed the face of the institution.

The senator was taken on a tour for the inspection at the permanent site in the University by the Anglican Bishop on the Niger, Rt. Rev. Owen Nwokolo PhD, his Wife, Rev Mrs Nwokolo, Dr Chike Obidigbo and other Priests of the Anglican Communion.

The project sites visited by the Senator included the double lane entrance road leading into the University main campus connecting the Administrative block, Lecture halls and the School Auditorium.

The road project also leads to the school hostels, Library and other facilities in the school.

Speaking during the inspection visit, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye described the project significant investment in the infrastructure of the University community.

He expressed satisfaction with the progress of the work, highlighting its importance to the school.

He said, “this is my first time coming here. The 1.6km road project which I am constructing in this place, is a significant investment in the infrastructure of the University community.”

Responding, Bishop Nwokolo who stated that the University on the Niger is a citadel of learning founded for the mastery of truth and knowledge thanked Senator Nwoye for the project and asked for God’s continued protection, blessings and guidance.

Other Priests who spoke during the inspection visit praised the senator for his magnanimity and prayed that God will continue to use him to do good.
