Anambra Youth Empowerment Initiative (AYEI) has berated critics of Governor Chukwuma Soludo on the recent demolition of a popular hotel in Oba, Anambra state that served as haven for criminals.

Some individuals and groups have condemned the hasty demolition of the Oba hotel, saying that human remains were not found on the open grave.

The popular hotel in Oba, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State was recently demolished by Governor Chukwuma Soludo’s newly launched security outfit, Agunechemba, after the discovery of no fewer than 30 graves, shrines, and numerous charms within the premises.

The Deputy Governor of Anambra state, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim led state government delegates to supervise the demolition of the hotel used as kidnapping hideouts and other criminal activities.

“We don’t want to go into the exploits he is doing on road infrastructure, healthcare, sports development and worker’s welfare. Soludo is just a blessing to Ndi Anambra.

” We also thank his deputy, Dr. OnyekaChukwu Ibezim for his support to his principal and roles he is playing towards ensuring stability and peace in the state. These collaborative efforts are clear demonstration of the mantra, if not broken, while mend it.”

Alor who doubles as MD/CEO of Mmiri NDU Table water and Great Vision Network Ltd further explained that AYEI is a registered NGO with 21 Coordinators and 178 representatives across Anambra state.

He disclosed that AYEI objectives included crime and drug abuse reduction in the society, partnering with government, organisations and individual on job creation and provision of training on skills and empowerment of youths.

“These goals are in line with state government policies on human capital development and that is why we are asking our people to continue to support Governor Soludo since it’s not Broken, there will be no point for Mending,” he stressed.
