Rotary Club Donates First Aid Kits to Onitsha Schools

Rotary Club of Onitsha Metropolis has donated well-equipped First Aid box kits to selected Primary Schools in Onitsha, Anambra state and its environs.

The beneficiary schools include Community Primary School, Umuoba Anam, Oreze Primary School 1, New Bethel Primary School, Onitsha, Oreze Primary School 2 and Omunwaegboka Primary school.

President of the Club, Rtn Oby Arinze said the gesture was in line with Rotary’s commitment to promoting health and hygiene.

She encouraged pupils to avoid rough plays and urged teachers to ensure the children’s safety.

She said, “The Disease Prevention and Treatment Project, executed on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, provided beneficiary schools with worm drugs, toothbrushes and toothpastes as well as other essential medical items.

“The project’s success will enable school authorities to respond promptly to minor injuries and medical emergencies.

“The Rotary Club of Onitsha Metropolis remains dedicated to creating lasting positive change in our communities.”

Chairman of the Project, Rtn Smart Ezuma emphasized the importance of engaging students in studying.

Responding, headmistress of Oreze Primary School expressed gratitude to members of Rotary for their kindness and commitment to doing good in the world.
