Anambra State Government has approved the sum of N181,194,655.78 for the renovations of Jerome Udoji State Secretariat building and external works around the complex.
Commissioner for Information, Dr Law Mefor who disclosed this in a statement said the approval was made at the 6th meeting of the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC).
He said the move was a clear demonstration of the commitment of the Governor Chukwuma Soludo administration to improve the working conditions of the Anambra workers.
The statement reads, “Following the need to ensure a more conducive work environment where the Anambra State Civil Servants can work effectively, the Anambra State Executive Council (ANSEC), at its 6th meeting of the year, held on 11th March 2025, has approved renovations for the Jerome Udoji State Secretariat building and external works around the complex.

“The contract was awarded to Ekam Global Ventures at the sum of N181,194,655.78 (One Hundred and Eighty-One Million, One Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand, Six Hundred and Fifty Five Naira, Seventy Eight Kobo) and is expected to be completed within the next two (2) months.
“This move further demonstrates the commitment of the Soludo administration to improve the working conditions of the Anambra workers. The council also approved for immediate execution, Lot 6 of the ongoing construction projects at the Judges Quarters in Onitsha for the sum of ₦196,510,928.40 (one hundred and ninety-six million, five hundred and ten thousand, nine hundred and twenty-eight naira, forty kobo) awarded to Hemebs Construction Ltd., and it is to be completed by the next 6 weeks.

— The award of the contract for the Construction of the Iconic Lighted Cable Structures upon the Ekwulobia Flyover Bridge in the sum Of N2, 100,000,000.00 (Two Billion and One Hundred Million Naira only) To Ag Vision Construction Nig Ltd.
— The award of the contract for the Construction of Solution Model Gates at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University (COOU), Uli Campus and Nwafor Orizu College Of Education, Nsugbe (NOCEN) in the sum Of N330, 879,118.84 (Three Hundred and Thirty Million, Eight Hundred and Seventy-Nine Thousand, One Hundred and Eighteen Naira, Eighty-Four Kobo only, to Ozoh United Ventures Nig Ltd.
— The award of the contract for the Supply and Installation of Outdoor Furniture for The Country Club; External Works and Landscaping of the Swimming Pool Area and other sections of the Solution Fun City, Awka, in the sum of N244,255,462.19 (Two Hundred and Forty-Four Million, Two Hundred and Twenty-Five Thousand, Four Hundred and Sixty-Two Naira, Nineteen Kobo to Pudsey Ltd
— The award of the contract for the Supply and Installation of Furniture, Fittings, and Equipment for the Sports Complex & the Executive Gym at the New Governor’s Lodge, Awka, in the sum of N203, 105,047.87 (Two Hundred and Three Million, One Hundred and Five Thousand, Forty-Seven Naira, Eighty-Seven Kobo to Hasi Construction Ltd.
— The award of the contract for the construction of the Ifite Flyover Bridge Link Road in the sum of N1, 003,594,346.87 (One Billion, Three Million, Five Hundred and Ninety-Four Thousand, Three Hundred and Forty-Six Naira, Eighty-Seven Kobo only) to Geld Construction Ltd.
— The award of the contract for the Additional Works/Supplies in the Renovation/Reconstruction of the State Liaison Office in Asokoro Abuja, in the sum of N300,826,377.42 (Three Hundred Million, Eight Hundred and Twenty-Six Thousand, Three Hundred and Seventy-Seven Naira, Forty-Two Kobo only to Kedmons Construction Ltd.”
