..As Idemili South Mayor Presents Igwe Elect ‘Emelobe’ To State Government

The Executive Chairman Idemili South LGA, Hon. Mrs Amaka Obi (Iyom Ife-Abata) has presented the newly elected Traditional Ruler/ Igwe Elect of Oba community, Igwe Engr Augustine Chinedu Emelobe to the Government of Anambra State through the Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Hon Collins Nwabunwanne.
Speaking at the Ministry of Local Government, Chieftaincy and Community Affairs, Government House, Awka, The Chairman Hon Mrs Amaka Obi after eulogizing His Excellency, Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State for his transparency, good intentions to restore peace and ensure grassroot development at the community level, thanked Oba people for finally following the due process required by their constitution as directed by government.
Moreso, The Oba Patriotic Union (OPU) President General, Engr. Anthony Uzo Ejiofor thanked the Commissioner, Hon Collins Nwabunwanne, the Permanent Secretary, Hon Nwabufor Nwankwo, the Idemili South Chairman and in extension His Excellency Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State for their respective roles in ensuring that a new Traditional Ruler emerges in Oba community.

Engr. Uzo Ejiofor emphasized that the leadership of Oba community has endorsed Governor Soludo for his second term bid saying that Oba community will vote for His Excellency because he is doing very well, working assiduously to deliver on his campaign promises which is to make Anambra State a liveable and prosperous homeland.
“The entire Oba community is for APGA and we have decided to support Governor Chukwuma Soludo in his bid to go for a Second Term in office in the coming election. There is no comparison to His Excellency nor any contemporary to compete with Soludo. Oba people I hope I said your minds as discussed?,” he quipped.
The Igwe -Elect, His Royal Majesty, Igwe Engr Augustine Chinedu Emelobe profusely thanked His Excellency Governor Chukwuma Soludo for the massive infrastructural Developmental projects ongoing in the state within his three years in office. He also thanked Soludo for the improved security network in the state.
Emelobe further expressed his support for Soludo’s administration and pledged to ensure that adequate democracy dividends that is due for Oba community would get to Oba which seems to be left behind.
“I want to thank each and everyone for the peaceful election held in Oba on 15th day of March 2025 when I was duly elected by the generality of Oba as the Igwe EzeOkpoko II of Oba.
“I want to reassure Oba and Anambra State that we will work with the government. We will ensure peace, security and progress of Oba town. We want to get dividends of democracy for our town. Oba town has been left behind in the annals of development in Anambra State and we are here in peace, love and progress.
” I want to use this opportunity to profess my profound gratitude to the Executive Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Soludo (Chalienwamgbafor) for the wonderful works he has been doing in Anambra State security wise and otherwise including infrastructural development.
“I want to express my appreciation to the Honourable Commissioner of Local Government Chieftaincy and Community Affairs Hon. Collins Nwabunwanne and the Permanent Secretary,Dr. Nwabufor Nwankwo (Dikeora) and also to my Mayor, Hon Mrs Amaka Obi Ifeabata and to my PG, Engr. Uzo Ejiofor Ezeugonnia and to our right Nwoke Nwoke, the Prime Minister of Oba, Onowu Chief Boniface Onyeka and Ndi Ichies and Chiefs and all the Stakeholders of Oba.
” I want to thank each and everyone. I also want to thank all the staff of the Ministry for their support and every other person that has been part of the peace process in Oba. May God reward everyone of you in Jesus name,” said the monarch.
