A devastating accident has claimed the life of a carpenter at a construction site in Anambra State. The incident occurred on Friday in Amawbia, within the Awka South Local Government Area, where the victim was working on a new building’s roof.

A video circulating on social media shows the lifeless body of the carpenter suspended from the building’s rooftop, as concerned individuals attempt to retrieve it. Eyewitness accounts suggest that the victim was working beneath high-tension wires when a zinc sheet he was handling accidentally made contact with the live wires, resulting in a fatal electrocution.

As of press time, the carpenter’s identity remains a mystery, although rumors indicate that he may have hailed from Ebonyi State.
