The South East Organizing Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Mr Dozie Ikedife (Jnr) has expressed confidence that Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu of the APC would beat Governor Charles Soludo of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming November 8 gubernatorial election in Anambra State.
Mr Ikedife (jnr) ruled out the issue of Soludo being a seating Governor, adding that the jinx had been broken in some other States and would only be replicated in Anambra by every means possible democratically.
He said with emphasis that seating Governors had been defeated in elections, giving the assurance that Soludo would not be an exception.
“Soludo is not going to be the first seating Governor to be defeated and he will not be the last in the list. But take my words to the bank, we will do everything humanly possible within the confines of democracy to make sure Soludo leaves the Governorship seat for Prince Ukachukwu to correct all the anomalies Soludo has committed in governance.
“Soludo’s time is up. That solution mantra will make way for Wind of Glory. So, the Wind of Glory is coming.
“We will go house to house to convince every voter that Soludo has to go. Prince Ukachukwu fondly known as Ikukuoma is going to do a lot of things differently for the betterment of Anamabra people.
“Ikukuoma will not beat and maim citizens on the streets in the name of security. Ikukuoma’s government will rather protect lives and property of Ndị Anambra in a most humane and effective way because he knows what to do.
“He will make sure that Anambra people enjoy the dividends of democracy in the three senatorial zones of the State.
“Ikukuoma’s government will give Anambra people free, fair and credible local government elections. His government will not interfere with or interrupt the activities of the local government areas.
“He will make sure that the elected local government Chairmen are given their freedom to exercise their authority as elected Council Chairmen not stooges in the hands of the Governor. Ikukuoma’s government will not interfere or mingle with local government funds, “he articulated.
He revealed that the incoming government of Prince Ukachukwu would budget adequate funds for education in the State, reintroduce schools competition to achieve excellence in the academic circle.
“There are many other areas the Ikukuoma’s government will make a difference. Our markets will be developed using cutting edge standards and Anambra State will be made investors -friendly by creating an enabling environment for the investors.
“Now, because of bad governance a lot of investors are running away from Anambra State. A lot of core investors in Nnewi, for instance, have left. They leave Anambra in droves. But Wind of Glory is coming. With the Wind of Glory, the investors will come back and our industries will begin to function again.
“Ikukuoma’s government will make sure that beautiful grants are made available for the industrialists to access in other to create job opportunities for the teeming population of jobless Anambra citizens, “he submitted.
Ikedife said that Anambra people are already excited because of the emergence of Prince Ukachukwu as the flag bearer of the APC who he said has the capacity and capability to unseat Governor Soludo.
He noted that the possibility of Ukachukwu becoming the Governor of Anambra State is very high.
“We’re optimistic, because of Ukachukwu’s antecedents and non performance of Soludo.
“If you take a stock, over 10,000 Anambra citizens have either been kidnapped, robbed, killed, or stolen from by non State actors. It’s only after three and half years that Soludo woke up to talk about security. What happens to about 10,000 people who are already victims?
“What about Anambra citizens who Soludo’s boys stabbed and beat up with aka odo (pestles). What’s happening in Anambra is terrible and people in the communities are fed up. That’s why Anambra people are saying in one voice that Soludo must go,” he concluded.
