APGA Media Warriors Forum National Coordinator, Evangelist Chinedu Obigwe, has condemned All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in the Anambra November 8 election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu, for disparaging remarks about the late Igbo leader, Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu.

Obigwe reacted to Ukachukwu’s comments on Channels TV, where he claimed to have contested against Ojukwu’s wife, Bianca Ojukwu, for the Anambra South Senatorial ticket and defeated her.

Obigwe described Ukachukwu’s statement as a “greatest insult” to Ojukwu’s memory and accused him of lying shamelessly on national television.

He also alleged that Ukachukwu secured his party’s nominations through manipulation, citing the 2023 APGA senatorial primary election where Ukachukwu emerged candidate through allegedly swapping authentic delegate lists with fake ones.

According to Obigwe, Ukachukwu’s emergence as APC’s candidate for the November 8, 2025, governorship election was also marred by controversy, with mass defections and resignations from the party.

He dismissed Ukachukwu’s claims of being a political godfather in Anambra State, labeling him a “shameless saboteur” who consistently undermines his opponents.

Continuing, Obigwe expressed confidence that incumbent Governor Charles Soludo will win the upcoming election, attributing it to his good governance and the electorate’s desire for continuity.

Obigwe statement in part,”As I pen down this piece, authentic APC party executives are resigning from the party as a protest for the way Ukachukwu emerged their party candidate.

“The fact remains that Nicholas Ukachukwu is shameless and that was the singular reason he came to national TV to be ranting.

“As long as I’m concerned, Nicholas Ukachukwu knows nothing about governance and no electorate in Anambra State that is on his right senses that will vote for him.

“I will not forget to state emphatically that he lied on his claim of being a political godfather in Anambra State.

“To the best of my knowledge, Ukachukwu is suffering from ‘it must be me at all cost mentality” disease.

Obigwe added, “If he contest primary election and lose, he will sabotage the effort of the primary election winner in the main election.

“He did this to many candidate of PDP and that was Nyesom Wike reason for telling him openly that he destroyed Anambra PDP.

“When Nicholas Ukachukwu contested PDP ticket with Governor Soludo and lost , he went to Hope party to destroy Soludo chances of winning that election.

“When he contested in 2013 and lost PDP ticket to Tony Nwoye, he sabotaged Tony Nwoye by supporting Obiano to win the election against Tony Nwoye.

” I see him as a shameless saboteur and not as a godfather.

“As APGA BOT member, he played his sabotage dirty game in the party to take over control of the party leadership from Governor Soludo and Governor Soludo smartly nipped his evil plan in the bud.

“This made him to decamp to APC and use his manipulation of primary election strategy to emerge APC candidate.

“It was easy for him to manipulate APC primary because Basil Ejidike that is the Chairman of the party in Anambra State can do anything”.
