Paul Chukwuma, the governorship candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) for the November 8 Anambra State election, has unveiled Chief Uzu Okagbue as his running mate.

The unveiling took place at the YPP secretariat in Udoka, Awka.

Unveiling his running mate, Chukwuma described Okagbue as a fitting choice for his progressive vision for Anambra State, citing extensive consultations with stakeholders.

Okagbue pledged to work harmoniously with Chukwuma in the electioneering process and potential administration.

Okagbue, who previously served as Chief Protocol Officer to former Governor Willie Obiano, brings a wealth of experience and administrative acumen to the ticket.

Okagbue holds a strong academic foundation, having studied at prestigious institutions.

Although he initially pursued a Diploma in Law at the University of Abuja, he later graduated in Political Science from the same university.

His time at the university was marked by academic excellence and entrepreneurial spirit, as he successfully managed a small-scale business while balancing his studies.

After serving as a youth corps member in Fidelity Bank, Abuja, his exceptional performance led to his retention as a full-time staff member.

Over nearly a decade with the bank, he earned multiple awards for being one of the most valuable staff members.

Beyond banking, Okagbue has built a successful career in real estate, investments, and business development.

Okagbue’s dedication to public service is evident in his work ethic and leadership style. As Chief Protocol Officer under Governor Obiano, he was known for his diligence and efficiency, qualities that earned him respect across the administration.

His decision to partner with Paul Chukwuma underscores his commitment to contributing to Anambra State’s progress.

With this partnership, the YPP ticket has gained strength, combining Chukwuma’s vision for the state with Okagbue’s administrative expertise. The duo is poised to offer a compelling alternative to voters in the November poll.
