The Anambra State Police Command has apprehended two suspects involved in child stealing and successfully reunited two young children with their parents in Ozubulu, Ekwusigo Local Government Area.
Acting on a distress report lodged by the mother of the abducted children, police operatives launched an operation that led to the arrest of the principal suspect, 19-year-old Onyedika Daniel, at Okpuno-Oba, in Idemili South Local Government Area.

The suspect confessed to the crime and revealed that he had handed over the children to the second suspect, 25-year-old Nkechi Onuwa. Following their rescue, the children, aged between three and five, were safely reunited with their grateful parents.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, assured that the suspects would be charged to court upon conclusion of the investigation. The Police Commissioner, CP Ikioye Orutugu, commended the officers’ professionalism and timely response, reiterating that crimes against children will not be tolerated.
