History was recently made in Nnewi following the appointment of President General (PG) of Imo General Assembly, Chief Chinedu Igwe as Special Assistant (SA) to the Mayor of Nnewi North LGA, Hon Echezona Anazodo.
Anambra People Magazine gathered that Chief Igwe was appointed Special Assistant on Non Indigenes Affairs.
Speaking during the unveiling of the appointee, Hon Anazodo said that the appointment which symbolizes a new era in the council area is aimed at driving development and unity.
The Nnewi North Mayor said as a matter of fact that the strategic move underscores the administration’s commitment to inclusive governance and economic development.
“By appointing representatives from different segments of the community, we have demonstrated wisdom in fostering unity and cooperation,” he said.
The recently reelected President General (PG) of Imo General Assembly, Chief Chinedu Igwe while speaking with journalists on the import of his appointment said that the development is unprecedented in the political history of Nnewi North LGA.
He thanked the Mayor of Nnewi North Council Area for singling him out for the lofty appointment.
The PG of Imo General Assembly pledged to mobilize his people for the overall growth and development of the industrial town of Nnewi.
