The legal community has been thrown into mourning following the passing of Sir Cosmas Ikechukwu Enweluzo, SAN. The respected legal icon and Senior Advocate of Nigeria passed away recently, leaving behind a legacy of excellence.

The announcement was made by Chief Joe Onwubiko Eneweluzo (Kpakpando) of Umuriam Obunese, Nawfia, who described the late Enweluzo as a legal luminary.

Sir Enweluzo’s legal career spanned over 25 years of active practice, during which he distinguished himself particularly in the areas of litigation and advocacy. His elevation to the prestigious rank of Senior Advocate of Nigeria in 2018 was a testament to his profound contributions and commitment to justice.

He brought expert knowledge to a wide range of legal fields, including Company Law, Petroleum and Environmental Law, Arbitration and Conciliation, Mergers and Acquisitions, Immigration, Aviation, Telecommunications, and Debt Recovery. His legal counsel was sought by corporate bodies, government agencies, professional associations, and influential individuals on both complex litigation and advisory matters.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Sir Enweluzo was a devoted member of several distinguished legal and religious organizations. He was a member of the International Bar Association, African Bar Association, and Nigerian Bar Association. He was also an Associate of the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitrators and a member of the Holy Order of Knights of St. Mulumba, Nigeria.

“May God Almighty comfort his family and colleagues and grant his soul eternal rest.
“Please continue to uphold the Enweluzo family in your prayers.

“Lord, in Your mercy, hear our prayers.”
