The Special Adviser to Governor Soludo on Community Security, Chief Ken Emeakayi has said that although the Agunechemba officers involved were carrying out their legitimate official duty at Oba in Idemmili South LGA but that their conducts during the search were “not acceptable”.
Emeakayi made this statement when he appeared on Channels TV via zoom which was anchored by Kayode Okikiolu where he explained the difference between Udogachi and Agunechemba.
He informed that Udogachi was an operation code name comprising the Police, Army, NSCDC, Others like a JTF while Agunechemba is the state security outfit created by the Anambra state homeland security law 2025.
He clarified that the law establishing Agunechemba empowered it to search houses where suspected kidnappers or armed robbers or cultists use or run into.

Furthermore, he explained that in the extant case,the community Agunechemba officers and the central strike force team were chasing after a group of suspected cultists who were riding on about 12 motorcycles and ran into the said compound which made the officers to start searching the rooms.
The SPAD said that as part of their internal issues resolution mechanism, that the outfit have arrested the men of Agunechemba involved in the incident and had reached out to the victim (a corps member) and that they’ve even visited his office at AWKA alongside their NYSC Local Government Headquarters.
He stated that the conduct of the men involved was unacceptable and regrettable and that the state was already on it carrying out further investigation into the matter.
