The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sylvester Ezeokenwa, earlier today received the British High Commissioner to Nigeria, Richard Montgomery CMG, on a courtesy visit to the APGA National Secretariat in Abuja.

The meeting served as an important platform for dialogue on issues of mutual interest, with a particular focus on the forthcoming off-cycle governorship election in Anambra State scheduled for November 8, 2025. Both parties exchanged views on the importance of credible elections in sustaining Nigeria’s democratic journey.

Discussions also touched on the broader subject of constitutional reforms currently underway in the country.

The APGA Chairman emphasized the need for reforms that will strengthen governance, deepen federalism, and ensure that Nigeria’s democratic institutions are better positioned to serve the people effectively.

Looking ahead to the 2027 general elections, the meeting highlighted preparations by political parties, electoral bodies, and stakeholders to guarantee transparent and participatory electoral processes. The Chairman stressed APGA’s readiness to play its role responsibly in upholding the sanctity of the ballot.
