Former Chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Awka Branch, Mrs Amaka Ezeno, has, on the 10th day of November, 2025, been appointed as a member of the prestigious Body of Benchers, a statutory body comprising practitioners of the highest distinction in the legal profession that regulates the legal profession in Nigeria, with the power to formally call individuals to the bar and discipline erring lawyers, which said appointment took immediate effect.

Ezeno, the Principal Partner and founder of THE LAW ZOOMERS, boasts of 26 years of extensive private legal practice experience. She has established herself as a leading lawyer in Nigeria, with a law firm that has produced over 35 protégé.
A graduate of the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, and the Nigerian Law School, Abuja, Ezeno was called to the Nigerian Bar in September 1999. She is a member of several professional bodies, including the Association of Professional Negotiators and Mediators, and the Nigerian Institute of Chartered Arbitration.
Ezeno’s achievements in the legal field have earned her numerous accolades, including being the first female lawyer to serve as Chairman of a branch of the Nigerian Bar Association in Anambra State. She currently serves as the Chairperson of the Women Forum of the Eastern Bar Association, covering nine states and the Chairperson of African Women Lawyers Association Nigeria, Anambra State.
Amaka Ezeno is also a Council Member of Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC) and that of the Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution Development
and Conflict Management (i-ADRNigeria).
The respected lawyer is will also be invested as Vice President, Legal of Awka Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture on 4th December 2025.
