President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has officially inaugurated Chief Okey Ezenwa as the Anambra State Renewed Hope Ambassador for the 2027 presidential election mobilization.
Chief Ezenwa, a prominent stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State, was earlier appointed by President Tinubu and formally inaugurated by the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma.
He is among the 36 state and Federal Capital Territory Renewed Hope Ambassadors selected to drive the President’s 2027 Renewed Hope Agenda re-election campaign.
The inauguration took place in Abuja on Monday, December 1, 2025.
Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodimma who was recently appointed National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors by President Tinubu on November 25 performed the inauguration on the President’s behalf.
Governor Uzodimma charged the newly appointed Ambassadors to return to their respective states and commence vigorous grassroots mobilization immediately, stressing that “the work starts now.”
Speaking with journalists in Awka on Thursday, Chief Ezenwa expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for finding him worthy of the appointment, describing it as a significant political responsibility and a call to dedicated national service.
Chief Ezenwa emphasized that President Tinubu deserves the full support of Nigerians—particularly the South East and Anambra people—given his performance in office.
He highlighted the establishment of the South East Development Commission (SEDC) as one of the President’s landmark interventions aimed at promoting the economic and social upliftment of the region.
According to him, President Tinubu has demonstrated bold, detribalised, and visionary leadership marked by fairness, equity, and transparency.
He noted that several long-abandoned federal road projects in the South East are currently undergoing rehabilitation or complete reconstruction under Tinubu’s administration.
“The President is a progressive—a bold and visionary leader who is not afraid to take necessary decisions for the long-term benefit of the country and her citizens. You can’t fault that,” Ezenwa stated.
He added that President Tinubu has been confronting the nation’s security and economic challenges head-on through well-designed policies and systematic engagements across the six geopolitical zones.
These efforts, he said, are already yielding visible improvements, including reductions in food prices and essential commodities across markets.
“Such a visionary leader deserves our collective support to enable him fully accomplish his laudable programmes for the Nigerian people,” he added.
Chief Ezenwa also praised the appointment of Governor Uzodimma as National Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, describing him as a proven achiever.
“I am delighted to work under Governor Uzodimma. He is not only visionary but also a goal-getter and a workaholic who has inspired transformative development in Imo State. Just go to Imo and see a state on the rise,” he said.
