UDUF Africa Inaugurates New Exco at Onitsha

UDUF Africa has unveiled new leadership after electing a new set of executives in Onitsha, Anambra state.

 

The 2026 General Election held during the organisation’s Business Meeting and Mentorship Session at the Onitsha Business School was described by stakeholders as peaceful, transparent and credible.

According to them, the exercise marks a significant step in the organisation’s commitment to democratic leadership and accountability.

A total of 44 eligible members were physically present to cast their votes, with organisers confirming that the process was orderly and reflective of the group’s values of integrity and responsible leadership.

 

At the end of the exercise, several members emerged as winners and were elected into key positions.

 

The elected officers were Dr. Edwin Obioma – Vice President I, Joshua Iheanacho – Vice President II, Precious Ani – Secretary General, Mrs. Gloria Ezeudo – Asst Secretary General,

Chira Christiana – Director of Finance and Eke Miracle – Director of Programs, assisted by Joshua Ikechukwu.

 

Other positions saw Owan Itesi elected as Director of Media, Chukwuemeke Emmanuel as Assistant Director of Media, Onuigbo Godwin as Director of Assets, and Ikenna Ohagwu as Assistant Director of Assets.

 

Mary Okoye was elected Director for Women Affairs, with Grace Chinemerem Ogbu serving as Assistant Director for Women Affairs. Board of Directors elected Christopher Uchenna as President of UDUF Africa.

 

The organisation has congratulated the newly elected executives, expressing confidence in their ability to provide visionary leadership and drive its mission forward.

 

Beyond the election, the gathering also featured a high-impact business session focused on sales, negotiation and market success, delivered by Christopher Uchenna, who emphasised the importance of strategy, research and customer-focused solutions in business growth.

 

Participants also took part in a book review session of Built to Last: Successful Habits of Visionary Companies by Jim Collins and Jerry I. Porras, where lessons on building sustainable organisations were discussed.

 

The event was hosted by the Founding President of UDUF Africa,Dr Ezuma Smart Chinedu, who highlighted the need for mentorship, collaboration and leadership development among young African entrepreneurs.

Organisers described the event as a historic milestone, noting that the combination of leadership transition, mentorship and business training reinforces UDUF Africa’s vision of inspiring and transforming the next generation of leaders across the continent.
