Organizers of the Nnewi Youth Digital Skills Bootcamp, planned in conjunction with NaWe Schools, and sponsored by Hon. Ekene Iwuchukwu, have commenced a sensitization campaign across secondary schools in the commercial city of Nnewi, Anambra State. The digital bootcamp scheduled to be held next month in Nnewi targets to train at least a few hundred participants, who must be from or living in Nnewi, as a way to ignite tech drive in various spheres, as well as encourage young people to pursue careers in tech.

During the training, which is scheduled to commence from April 15 through April 17, at Uru Community Hall, Uru, Umudim Nnewi, by 9 am for the three days, participants are expected to learn Web Development, AI Engineering, Data Analysis, and Product Design (UI/UX). Young people aged 16 and older can participate in the training programme for 3 days free of charge. This opportunity includes follow-up mentorship for the brightest participants and possible job opportunities.

The ongoing sensitization effort across secondary schools in Nnewi has been taken to Nnewi High School, Anglican Girls Secondary School, and Akaboezem Community Secondary School, among others, to enlighten young people on the need to take full advantage of the programme and get exposed to the world of possibilities in tech.

There is still a chance for participants to register so that they can participate in the training next month. Interested persons who wish to be a part of the training should register on https://luma.com/fhufbmfg. Once registered, the participant’s seat is reserved and his or her training materials are prepared accordingly.
