HERE COMES THE MAIDEN EDITION OF #RunBuja 2021 PROGRAM OF THE NIGERIAN AMBASSY IN BURUNDI!

Nigeria Mission in Burundi have unveiled its plan to host the maiden edition of Burundi’s street track and field competition in Bujumbura hashtagged #RunBuja2021. The sports event which is expected to feature over 1000 participants from across Burundi and Nigeria, is an initiative of the Nigerian Embassy in partnership with Burundi’s Ministry of Youth & Sports and the Burundi Athletics Federation with Brarudi and KCB Bank as the major sponsors.

It is scheduled to hold on December 11th, 2021 in Bujumbura, the Republic of Burundi.

A powerful delegation is expected from Nigeria to the kick off the program.This is in furtherance of the drive to ensure maximum intellectual, skills and vocational interactions between the teeming youths of the two African Nations, encourage healthy living among citizenry through sports and create a bonding social force between its participants.

The program remains one of the beautiful dividends accruing from the recently signed Nigeria-Burundi Joint Commission.

According to the Nigeria Head of Mission in Burundi, “Nigeria will continue to partner with the government of the East African nation in relevant human developmental programs which are deliberately targeted at promoting peaceful, social, political and economic co-existence in other regions. This is in furtherance of achieving the Presidential Diplomatic charter of maintaining a peaceful and prosperous economic subregion.
