AWKA- Mr. Valentine Ozigbo, a labour party chieftain, has called on Anambra stakeholders to work together with a view to moving the state forward.

Ozigbo who was the PDP governorship candidate in the 2021 election in the state, in a statement to mark the state’s 32nd anniversary on Sunday, said special emphasis should be placed on the development of youth and the empowerment of women, which according to him, are key elements in securing a bright and prosperous future for the state.

“As we mark the 32nd anniversary of our great state, it is with immense pride and gratitude that I reflect on the journey that has led us here. Anambra State, indeed, the ‘Light of the Nation,’ lives up to its name thanks to the contributions, sacrifices, and indomitable spirit of Ndi Anambra,” he said.

“I salute the great sons and daughters of Anambra, those who have brought honour to our land through various sectors, including business, education, healthcare, governance, sports, entertainment, industry, and beyond. Your contributions have set standards in Nigeria and globally, showcasing the best of what Anambra has to offer.

“In the spirit of unity and the growth mindset that has long distinguished us, I urge all of Ndi Anambra to continue to work collaboratively to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. In doing so, let us place special emphasis on the development of our youth and the empowerment of our women – key elements in securing a bright and prosperous future for our beloved state.

“Security has been a subject at the top of our minds, especially in recent times, as we navigate challenges that test our resilience as one community. Now, more than ever, we realise that security is a shared responsibility, requiring the collective efforts of each and every member of our dear state. This is not a time for divisiveness or adversarial engagements; rather, it is a time for coming together to protect and uplift one another. Realising that if one of us is hurting, all of us are hurting.

“As we look forward to another year of shared progress, let us recommit ourselves to the values that make us truly Ndi Anambra: unity, resilience, and a ceaseless drive for excellence.”
