ONITSHA – The Executive Director, Operations of Anambra Internal Revenue Service (AIRS), Dr Christian Madubuko, has dismissed as unfounded the claims of a group, Concerned Anambra Citizens, that he is jeopardizing government efforts towards sanitizing the internal revenue system in the state.
The former Commissioner for Industry, Trade and Commerce; Commissioner for Road, Rail and Water Transportation and later Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, Indigenous Artworks, Culture and Tourism, said he has demonstrated commitment towards ensuring due process in any capacity of public office he managed and that AIRS is a confirmation of his belief in firmness of purpose.
In a statement while speaking to newsmen, yesterday, Dr Madubuko, said that no degree of blackmail against him could match his determination to rid the Anambra State IGR system of the fraudsters and their accomplices whose aim is self-aggrandizement.
