In Search of Dubai, Taiwan, Hong-Kong, and New York, Anambra is Sinking Deep Into Despair Under Soludo.

There is no better way to describe the current state of Anambra than with the words of French critic and journalist, Alphonse Karr: “‘The more things change, the more they stay the same.'”

It is evident that the more Professor Charles Soludo promises a prosperous and livable homeland, the more Anambra state becomes unlivable, with its citizens trapped in poverty, sorrow, and agony. There is no real improvement, only a worsening situation.

A simple search on Google and other internet search engines would reveal what the people of Anambra State are known for: our strength, resilience, and excellence across various sectors. Our people have excelled and continue to lead in business, education, politics, entertainment, art, and craft, as well as possessing a strong cultural heritage. We were never known for thuggery and touts, except for a few outliers. Therefore, it is disturbing and unfortunate how the regime of Professor Charles Soludo, instead of fulfilling his promise to build Anambra State with the model of Dubai, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and New York, is actually leading the charge in creating a hostile state where businesses are closing shops and touts empowered by the government are taking control of the commercial cities and rural areas, deviating from what was achievable in Anambra State before his regime. Agbero and touts have become the greatest obstacles to our prosperity and freedom.

Recent incidents, such as the reported murder of Anambra native Peter Ude Nkwelle by Soludo’s revenue agents and other cases in Agulu, highlight the menace of these individuals. Onitsha, in particular, faces ongoing problems due to the activities of these Agberos (street urchins and revenue agents), with videos circulating online as evidence. Just two days ago, a GUO bus driver was assaulted and left in a coma by Soludo’s touts. Additional videos have emerged, showing these groups physically attacking vulnerable citizens of the state.

There isn’t a single day that goes by without instances of citizens being assaulted and abused by agents and aides associated with Professor Charles Soludo and the APGA regime.
