Former Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra State Hon. Oseloka H. Obaze has said the ambition of his group, ‘TeamOHO’ is to install Mr. Peter Obi as President of Nigeria in 2027 to complete the unfinished business of 2023 and a friendly and performing governor in Anambra State next year.
In his remarks at a strategic meeting of the team in Awka on Sunday where he expressed gratitude to his supporters, especially for their efforts in the 2023 for which the team got recognition, appreciation and award.
Obaze said the task ahead is to support Peter Obi to win Anambra State before the presidential elections in 2027; “and be fully prepared and ready to complete the unfinished business of 2023.
“TeamOHO is committed to Anambra State being under a friendly leadership that is totally supportive of Peter Obi and the 2027 Igbo agenda on the Nigerian Presidency”.
He lamented that the home state, Anambra, which was thought to be bed from 2014 to 2022, things have gotten worse since 2021.
“There is no solution in sight. Anambra was broken and needed to be fixed. Despite high promises of Dubai and Taiwan, Anambra has regressed in terms of security, quality of life and goad governance. The present leadership, despite all pretenses is not living up to their promises; and must as such be voted out. The Anambra Governorship mandate for 2025 still belongs to Anambra South Senatorial zone. It is up to the South Senatorial Zone to find someone credible and a transformative leader to succeed the incumbent”, he said.
He narrated his journey into politics and understood what loyalty means.
According to him, beyond Anambra, TeamOHO has made inroads into many other states but regrets that he is yet to see any person equal to Peter Obi and he will follow him wherever he goes.
He said TeamOHO will remain proactive and constructively engaged. “We are bridge builders; we will provide the necessary building blocks. But our support will not go to the traditional politicians who make promises they cannot keep; but to someone who has vision, has created and managed wealth, can be trusted and is a team player.
His speech ignited fire in tge supporters who sang songs of praise for him.
Among others who attended the ceremony was former Speaker of Anambra House of Assembly Hon. Ben Chuks Nwosu.
Obaze was later presented with the plaque won by his team.
