Anambra State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Comdt. Maku Olatunde has charged Intelligence officers in the state to be vigilant, proactive and innovative in their approach to gathering and analyzing information capable of assisting in reduction of crime within the state.

Maku gave the advice during a meeting with the Intelligence officers across the twenty one local government of the state to strategize on proactive measures to gather critical information and stay ahead of criminal elements.

The meeting, held at the NSCDC State Command Headquarters, Awka, emphasized the importance of intelligence gathering in preventing and combating crime.

Maku noted that the lack of effective intelligence gathering could hinder ability to proactively prevent and combat crime, leaving citizens vulnerable to criminal activities.
