Addressing journalists after the protest, ASUU-UNIZIK branch chairman, Prof. Kingsley Oborji appealed to President Bola Tinubu to urgently intervene to protect the university from potential instability.

He accused the university’s governing council Chairman, Amb. Greg Mbadiwe of attempting to impose a vice chancellor who was not originally affiliated with UNIZIK.
