Senator Tony Nwoye, Peter Anekwe Pay Visit To Otuocha-Umueri-Nzam-Innoma-Ibaji Road Project

The Senator Representing Anambra North Senatorial District, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye and Hon Peter Anekwe in a bid to assess the progress of the work of the ongoing Road Project, as a follow up to the earlier working visit last October 2024, paid an unscheduled visit to the Otuocha-Umueri-Nzam-Innoma-Ibaji road construction project awarded to NigerCat Construction Company by the Federal Government.

Senator Tony Nwoye and Hon Peter Anekwe arrived at exactly 8:30 am at the road site accompanied by some Stakeholders of Anambra East and West Local Government Areas.

Speaking on arrival at the Road Project site, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye stated that the unscheduled visit is aimed for him and Hon Macpee to have a firsthand witness of the ongoing developments, to make sure that the Contractor who has been mobilised by the Federal Government is at the site , to have a personal assessment of the quality and pace of work being done by NigerCat Construction Limited, the construction firm handling the Road Project.

The Site Engineer of NigerCat Construction Company who was at the site at the time of the morning visit, welcomed the Senator and Hon Member.

He took around the first Culvert which is about to be completed and also to the second site of the second Culvert, which they are about to embark on.

He informed the Two Lawmakers that They are starting with the reconstruction of the Five Culverts at the road.

They are raising the Culverts to a new level so that when flood comes, it will not disturb the road users. That the new Culverts will be more than 50 metres high. He assured Senator Nwoye and Hon Peter Anekwe of Quality work on the road.

Hon Peter Anaekwe (Macpee) in his remarks, reiterated their commitments in making sure that the road gets all the necessary funding from the Federal Government for the road for the benefit of all the road users .

Continuing, he noted:”l commend NigerCat for the quality service delivery because the importance of delivering durable and long-lasting Road infrastructures that would benefit Ndi Anambra and the food people of Kogi State, even for years to come cannot be overemphasized.”

Furthermore, Senator Dr Tony Nwoye said: “Frankly, l commended NigerCat Nigeria Limited for its dedication and professionalism in executing the road construction project.

He stressed the need for all stakeholders, community Leaders, Traditional Rulers and Villagers to give the Construction Company all the necessary support and assistance in order to deliver projects that meet the expectations of the people.
