The Sickle Cell Orphanage and Underprivileged Home Agulu has taken delivery of a brand new ambulance, courtesy of a generous donation from Sir Paul Chukwuma, a renowned entrepreneur and global name in ICT.

The dedication ceremony took place at St Felix Catholic Church Nise, with the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Most Rev Dr Paulinus Ezeokafor, performing the dedication rites.

The bishop praised Sir Paul Chukwuma’s kindness and generosity, noting that his donation would go a long way in supporting the activities of the home.

Bishop Ezeokafor also used the opportunity to drum support for the Sickle Cell Orphanage and Underprivileged Home, urging other well meaning individuals and organizations to emulate the kind gesture of Sir Paul Chukwuma, and come to the aid of the home.

According to bystanders at the dedication, the medically equipped vehicle is the first of it’s kind to be donated by a private individual to a charity organization in Anambra State.

Some who were extremely marveled by the gesture, showered praises on the donor, Sir Paul Chukwuma, describing him as Godsent.

Director of the Sickle Cell Orphanage and Underprivileged Home Agulu, Mrs Aisha Edward Maduagwu, continued in her heartfelt appreciation to Sir Paul Chukwuma.

She said the vehicle would facilitate the organisations health emergencies especially the mid night crisis episodes and advocacy efforts.

The dedication ceremony was well attended by members, staff and management of the Sickle Cell Orphanage and Underprivileged Home Agulu, clergy, friends and well-wishers of the organization.
