Firm partners FRSC to enhance road safety in Anambra

The International Breweries Ltd has expressed its willingness to partner with the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Anambra State Command to improve road safety in the state.

Corporate Manager of the firm, Mr. Okechukwu Nzeribe stated this during an official visit to the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander.

He informed the Sector Commander that International Breweries is exploring further collaboration opportunities, including Public Awareness Campaigns, Jointly organizing campaigns to educate drivers and road users about road safety, driver training Initiatives, Promoting defensive driving techniques and best practices for road safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, partnering on community development projects and responsible drinking initiatives.

Nzeribe assured the FRSC of ongoing support and collaboration in promoting responsible driving habits and enhancing road safety in the State.

“The meeting is aimed at strengthening the existing relationship between the two organizations and to promote road safety initiatives in the state.

“International Breweries is exploring further collaboration opportunities, including Public Awareness Campaigns, Jointly organizing campaigns to educate drivers and road users about road safety, driver training Initiatives, promoting defensive driving techniques and best practices for road safety, and Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives, partnering on community development projects and responsible drinking initiatives,” he said.

Responding, Corps Commander Joyce Nnennaya Alexander expressed gratitude to International Breweries for their unwavering support and contributions to the mission of the FRSC.

She commended the firm’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, particularly in enhancing public safety.

She encouraged International Breweries and other non-governmental organizations (NGOs) to deepen their involvement in FRSC activities, emphasizing that collaborative efforts are crucial for achieving sustainable road safety goals.

The Sector Commander appreciated the reflective jackets and emphasized their importance as life-saving equipment for road safety officers and other stakeholders involved in maintaining traffic flow and responding to accidents.

The Sector Commander FRSC Anambra State Command expressed appreciation for the partnership with International Breweries and urged continued collaboration in the future. This meeting marked a significant step toward enhancing cooperation between both organizations and promoting road safety in Anambra State.

Key Highlights of the visit were the presentation of reflective jackets by representatives of International Breweries to the FRSC.

These jackets are essential safety tools for field operations, enhancing the visibility and safety of FRSC personnel, especially during night operations.
