Piller of Sports In Nigeria, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, has pledged total support towards growth of Baseball in the grassroots, urging youngsters to take full advantage of the game.
Chief Ejidike made this comment at the Base Ball Stadium in Ilorin, venue of the Hono Base Ball League kicking off on Monday.
According to him, Baseball is a game well suited for the Nigerian youths.
“The office of the Piller of Sports in Nigeria is ready to support this competition and also the game.
“We can only urge youngsters and athletes to take advantage of what Hono has brought to Kwara State,” said.
Four states, Bayelsa, Oyo, Ondo and Delta joins the host, Kwara in the league game which will end on Saturday.
The sponsor, Hono, is a farming machine and equipment supply giant based in Kwara and with branches in Nigeria and the West African subregion.
