Gubernatorial Candidate of the Young Progressives Party (YPP) for the Anambra State Poll, Sir Paul Chukwuma, has expressed sorrow over the demise of His Holiness Pope Francis, describing the late Pontiff as a father strong in faith.

Chukwuma, in a statement, joined Catholic faithful and Christians around the world in mourning the death of the pope, whose papacy began in 2013.

“With deep humility, and total resignation to the will of the Almighty God, I bid an eternal farewell to the Catholic Pontiff, Our Pope, Pope Francis. The Church once again looses a Father strong in faith.

“7:35am, 21st of April 2025, will always remain a day to remember with joy and sorrow in the annals of the Church history.
